I have a Masters in Mental Health Counseling and for the 5 years I've working closely with Adults diagnosed with depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, schizoaffective and bi-polar. For the past year I've worked closely with children and their families between 8yrs-17yrs, diagnosed with autism, adhd, anxiety, depression, and mood dysregulation.

We live in a society where mental health still hard to talk about in most circles. I believe your mental health is just as important as your Spiritual and physical health. You need all to become a well balance human being. Trust is vital and very much needed in therapy and I will respect your boundaries. I am proud of you for making the first step.

My name is Miranda N Dennis and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Dialectical Behavioral Therapist. I provide speaking opportunities for communities and organizations who are seeking inspiration and want to be free from emotional strong holds, learn how to manage life stressors and gain better focus, attention and vision for their life to mention a few topics. Being that I am DBT Certified I offer companies DBT consultation team meetings and foundational training . In addition, I practice holistic psychotherapy, this means that I tailor your sessions to explore, challenge and to meet your social, emotional, physical, mental and spiritual health needs through traditional counseling as well as exploring alternative methods of therapy. For an example, I use Young Living Essential Oils in all of my sessions to help create or increase a sense of harmony, peace and serenity. No worries if you have an allergy just let me know and I will make adjustments.

A little more about me, I am licensed in the states of Virginia and New York and I have over 14 years of experience working with children, adolescents and their families. Some of these areas include; crisis services, working with families who were at risk of losing their children or who are having the children returned home, domestic violence, outpatient mental health services, working with families who are military connected as well as working with children and the families of children placed in a residential setting.

Each workshop, training or session offers a highly personalized approach tailored to meet your needs. Services are provided with compassion and understanding, I work with your company, you and/or your family to help build on strengths and attain the personal growth you are committed to accomplishing.
