My name is Miranda N Dennis and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I specialize in providing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy for Adolescents and Adults using individual and group methods of delivery. In addition, I practice holistic psychotherapy, this means that I tailor your sessions to explore, challenge and to meet your social, emotional, physical, mental and spiritual health needs through traditional counseling as well as exploring alternative methods of therapy. For an example, I use Young Living Essential Oils in all of my sessions to help create or increase a sense of harmony, peace and serenity. No worries if you have an alergy just let me know and I will make adjustments.
A little more about me, I am licensed in the states of Virginia and New York and I have over 14 years of experience working with children, adolescents and their families. Some of these areas include; crisis services, working with families who were at risk of losing their children or who are having the children returned home, domestic violence, outpatient mental health services, working with families who are military connected as well as working with children and the families of children placed in a residential setting.
Each session offers a highly personalized approach tailored to meet your needs. Services are provided with compassion and understanding, I work with you and/or your family to help build on strengths and attain the personal growth you are committed to accomplishing.
